Natal Vives's late challenge caught a Los MaLaGaS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natal Vives helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Natal Vives hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nesto Camara in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heriberto Barro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Los MaLaGaS's Lalo Bartumeu got a free kick in the 19th minute. Angel Merino kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Heriberto Barro was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Flaco López capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Flaco López really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Nesto Camara kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Golden Alba Cete's Dante Gutierrez got a free kick in the 40th minute. Golden Alba Cete's Heriberto Barro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nesto Camara in the 44th minute of play. Rosario Escobar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Heriberto Barro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haimar Pascua to strike the kick off in the second half. When Rosario Escobar came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Los MaLaGaS fans jumped to their feet. In the 59th match minute, Los MaLaGaS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Griego to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Golden Alba Cete booed when Los MaLaGaS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Alba Cete's goalkeeper Heriberto Barro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Heriberto Barro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Eleodoro Jaraba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heriberto Barro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Haimar Pascua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Golden Alba Cete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haimar Pascua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
