Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Armando Higuera kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Canastell's Estefan Fernandez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Estefan Fernandez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Canastell protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Estefan Fernandez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Canastell! Cayetano Grau kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. If Julio Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demesio Aguilo having to interfere. Santi Santalla made a great header on Marei's corner, it was just that Canastell's Freddy Cuervas managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Marei's Pablo Balcells got a free kick in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Marei's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Benítez came free, but Demesio Aguilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Higuera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demesio Aguilo came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Canastell's Paco Benítez. But to his dismay, Paco Benítez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 46 played minutes Marei got a freekick which was hit by Koldo España. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julio Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Demesio Aguilo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canastell. 57 minutes into the match, Marei's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Ortiz came free, but Demesio Aguilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Paco Benítez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Ortiz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Canastell's Freddy Cuervas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Higuera in the 65th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Cayetano Grau got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Cayetano Grau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cayetano Grau in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demesio Aguilo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Marei's zone, Paco Benítez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demesio Aguilo came out of the goal and Paco Benítez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute, Armando Higuera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paco Benítez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Cuervas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Higuera in the 81st minute of play. Paco Benítez struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Demesio Aguilo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canastell. In the 83rd match minute, Canastell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paco Benítez to maneuver through the defense. Julio Ortiz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Demesio Aguilo came out and tried to block the shot, but Julio Ortiz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Pablo Balcells hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Canastell's Paco Benítez got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cayetano Grau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Marei fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Canastell were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
