Cayetano Grau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Julio Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aniol Colillas struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Freddy Cuervas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DragonX. After a defensive mix-up in DragonX's zone, Cayetano Grau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovando Palomar came out of the goal and Cayetano Grau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, DragonX's Ovando Palomar got control of the ball when Paco Benítez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Canastell booed when DragonX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Planes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Ortiz in the 46th minute of play forced DragonX's goalkeeper Ovando Palomar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Leandro Morientes made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Cayetano Grau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
