Vitin Verdu started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Cortes in the 5th minute of play forced Albacete Balompié's goalkeeper Giro Idiaquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 minutes, Burni Zubiaga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albacete Balompié and the UE Seva players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute Dominic Cortes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giro Idiaquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dominic Cortes struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Giro Idiaquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UE Seva. When Feliz Segarra came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Albacete Balompié fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliz Segarra couldn't finish the play. Marino Barba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliz Segarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Marino Barba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaztea Alarcon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliz Segarra in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marino Barba saved UE Seva from getting behind. Gaztea Alarcon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Albacete Balompié's Feliz Segarra in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliz Segarra in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marino Barba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliz Segarra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Gaztea Alarcon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marino Barba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Feliz Segarra sped through UE Seva's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marino Barba. Feliz Segarra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marino Barba having to make a save. After having played for 66 minutes, Gaztea Alarcon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albacete Balompié's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaztea Alarcon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Burni Zubiaga came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Albacete Balompié fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Burni Zubiaga couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Albacete Balompié's goalkeeper Giro Idiaquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominic Cortes. After a defensive mix-up in Albacete Balompié's zone, Dominic Cortes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giro Idiaquez came out of the goal and Dominic Cortes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Albacete Balompié's Burni Zubiaga got a free kick in the 76th minute. A hard shot by Qwinton Etxeberria from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Giro Idiaquez's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gaztea Alarcon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marino Barba having to interfere. UE Seva's Marino Barba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliz Segarra in the 80th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliz Segarra in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marino Barba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Albacete Balompié's Feliz Segarra in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UE Seva's goalie prevented a goal. After 85 minutes of play, Albacete Balompié's Gaztea Alarcon made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marino Barba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Artemio Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Feliz Segarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marino Barba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Albacete Balompié's Gaztea Alarcon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marino Barba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albacete Balompié made a substitution. Humberto Campomanes replaced Gaztea Alarcon. There was no doubt that Albacete Balompié were the better team. Albacete Balompié's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
