Martinet
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Martinet's Bazil Guijarro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Arraz in the 3rd minute of play forced Martinet's goalkeeper Enrique Olano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Los Tukeiros FC's Oton Ponte got control of the ball when Larpe Ponte tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Santxo Correa fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Tukeiros FC's protests and gave Santxo Correa a yellow card for diving instead. Santxo Correa hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the game, Aarón Elguero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martinet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Tukeiros FC the free kick. Cesaro Viqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Llanos Zapatero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bazil Guijarro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 17th minute Indartsu Canosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Olano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Braulio Folch suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Alejandro Talavera's late challenge caught a Los Tukeiros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alejandro Talavera helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bazil Guijarro in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oton Ponte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Larpe Ponte came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oton Ponte could save by the left post. Bazil Guijarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Oton Ponte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes of play Los Tukeiros FC's Santxo Correa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Martinet booed when Los Tukeiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santxo Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Oton Ponte throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bazil Guijarro in the 34thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 39th minute, Larpe Ponte made a precise shot to the right of Oton Ponte. Los Tukeiros FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Indartsu Canosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Olano having to interfere. Larpe Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Bazil Guijarro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oton Ponte, 2-0. The wind increased when Arturo Arraz made the kick off in the second half. Larpe Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Oton Ponte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Larpe Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Bazil Guijarro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Oton Ponte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bazil Guijarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oton Ponte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bazil Guijarro ran back to his position shaking his head. If Larpe Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Tukeiros FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Martinet.
