Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) San Mames's Indartsu De la Rosa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hermelando Medina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indartsu De la Rosa in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, San Mames's Indartsu De la Rosa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Rubite FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Paulo Uria hit a great ball. Hermelando Medina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indartsu De la Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Rubite FC's goal looked a bit too open when Indartsu De la Rosa came free, but Hermelando Medina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermelando Medina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrés-Fernando Domingo in the 18th minute. After 20 minutes, Andrés-Fernando Domingo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Mames and the Rubite FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, San Mames's Andrés-Fernando Domingo got a free kick in the 21st minute. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Pelayo Figueres sped through San Mames's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Toro Ramos. In the 24th minute Pelayo Figueres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toro Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toro Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Acedo in the 27th minute of play. San Mames's Toro Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelayo Figueres in the 28th minute of play. Toro Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pelayo Figueres's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Toro Ramos came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rubite FC's Primitivo Acedo. But to his dismay, Primitivo Acedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as San Mames's Andrés-Fernando Domingo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hermelando Medina. That made the score 2-2 after 40 minutes of play. Adelio Higuera's late challenge caught a San Mames's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelio Higuera helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Adelio Higuera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Pelayo Figueres made a precise shot to the right of Toro Ramos. San Mames's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The San Mames players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rubite FC were winning 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pelayo Figueres made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Rubite FC got a freekick which was hit by Behe Lama. Nicodemo Camacho took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermelando Medina. Hermelando Medina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Manolo Leon was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of San Mames:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rubite FC:s goal. The score was 3-4 after a penalty in the 62nd minute, where Rubite FC:s Paulo Uria tricked San Mames:s Toro Ramos with a difficult ball by the left post. Paulo Uria hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Hermelando Medina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gudesteo Colillas in the 66th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Nicodemo Camacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pelayo Figueress short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Toro Ramos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, San Mames's Gudesteo Colillas got a free kick in the 75th minute. Rubite FC's Primitivo Acedo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Urtzi Solana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Mames's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urtzi Solana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fonso Santiago's late challenge caught a San Mames's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fonso Santiago helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, San Mames was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrés-Fernando Domingo to maneuver through the defense. Espartaco Litago hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Pelayo Figueres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Toro Ramos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rubite FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
