In the 4th minute of the match, Xalo Guerrero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcial Macho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Ziguenza in the 12th minute of play forced SuliMelilla's goalkeeper Sabino Peña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Epifanio Mas kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, David Cabrera notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SuliMelilla's Sabino Peña. Sabino Peña was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sabino Peña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Cabrera in the 36th minute of the match. Epifanio Mas hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Casimiro Abascal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcial Macho. The goal made the score 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casimiro Abascal was the one to do the kick off. Sabino Peña was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Cabrera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 56 minute of play. Sabino Peña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henric Ziguenza, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ibiza City FC's Mel Marrero quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis-Miguel Babia, made in the 62nd minute of the game. Sabino Peña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Cabrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabino Peña came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibiza City FC's David Cabrera. But to his dismay, David Cabrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 78th minute, David Cabrera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabino Peña was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 84th minute, Pancho Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ibiza City FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
