Henrik Parve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Fano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fortunato Morientes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Henrik Parve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldemer Cartagena in the 29th minute of the match. Telesforo Etxeberria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in TALADROCAMPEON F.C's zone, Telesforo Etxeberria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kiko Meireles came out of the goal and Telesforo Etxeberria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mergildo Verdeja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Baldemer Cartagena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TALADROCAMPEON F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldemer Cartagena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldemer Cartagena to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Baldemer Cartagena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrik Parve. Asilah's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldemer Cartagena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, TALADROCAMPEON F.C's Mergildo Verdeja got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldemer Cartagena in the 62nd minute of play forced Asilah's goalkeeper Henrik Parve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Asilah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zuberoa Morales to maneuver through the defense. Asilah made a substitution. Ciro Rivera replaced Perrando Comas. TALADROCAMPEON F.C's Raphael Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baldemer Cartagena scored 0-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrik Parve, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Baldemer Cartagena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freek Capelle kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The TALADROCAMPEON F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TALADROCAMPEON F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
