Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrik Parve didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rai Rey went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 11 minutes, Rai Rey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vélez Sarsfield Alicante and the Asilah players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rai Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Henrik Parve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rai Rey in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Asilah's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Demesio Cabrera was slow to take the kick. During this time Vélez Sarsfield Alicante's players had a chance to rest. Rai Rey might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrik Parve. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rai Rey ran back to his position shaking his head. Alvaro Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telesforo Etxeberria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Hustaz Bargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vélez Sarsfield Alicante's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hustaz Bargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 minutes, Tomi Folch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Asilah and the Vélez Sarsfield Alicante players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Tomi Folch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Telesforo Etxeberria in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Garcia saved Vélez Sarsfield Alicante from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Telesforo Etxeberria kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alvaro Garcia. That made the score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. Vélez Sarsfield Alicante's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Telesforo Etxeberria scored to the left of an out of position Alvaro Garcia, making the score, 2-1. In the 43rdth minute of the game Telesforo Etxeberria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vélez Sarsfield Alicante's Alvaro Garcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Telesforo Etxeberria succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Telesforo Etxeberria to strike the kick off in the second half. Perrando Comas hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The Vélez Sarsfield Alicante fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Vélez Sarsfield Alicante's Rai Rey looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Alvaro Garcia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. When Freek Capelle came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Asilah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freek Capelle couldn't finish the play. After 91 played minutes Asilah got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Novo. In the 94th minute Telesforo Etxeberria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vélez Sarsfield Alicante players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Asilah.
