Hermelando Rey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telesforo Etxeberria in the 15th minute of the match. If Telesforo Etxeberria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Alirio Mora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Zuberoa Morales sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermelando Rey skillfully saved the ball. After 22 played minutes El Kiwy Mecanico got a freekick which was hit by Otero Moreno. The supporters of Asilah booed when El Kiwy Mecanico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Argoitz Zafrilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Argoitz Zafrilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telesforo Etxeberria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermelando Rey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Telesforo Etxeberria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Hermelando Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Telesforo Etxeberria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermelando Rey having to interfere. Leizarraga Urbieta hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Hermelando Rey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freek Capelle, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Telesforo Etxeberria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermelando Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otero Moreno to strike the kick off in the second half. Freek Capelle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hermelando Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otero Moreno in the 61st minute of play forced Asilah's goalkeeper Henrik Parve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Asilah's goalkeeper Henrik Parve, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hermelando Rey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telesforo Etxeberria's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Asilah's Gerard Palencia got a free kick in the 64th minute. Telesforo Etxeberria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hermelando Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Otero Moreno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Kiwy Mecanico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Leobardo Sobrado fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Kiwy Mecanico's protests and gave Leobardo Sobrado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Gerard Palencia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leizarraga Urbieta hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Leizarraga Urbieta fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Kiwy Mecanico's protests and gave Leizarraga Urbieta a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, El Kiwy Mecanico's Leizarraga Urbieta got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 87 minutes, Otero Moreno made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Asilah's Henrik Parve tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hermelando Rey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Rivera in the 94th minute. Hermelando Rey was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Ciro Rivera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ciro Rivera really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The El Kiwy Mecanico players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
