After a rather tough play, Cabildo Y La Campana's Alejandro Castaño got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Cecilio Candela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabildo Y La Campana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vélez Sarsfield Alicante the free kick. Jesús Gonzáles was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Demesio Cabrera. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toribio Ponce in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvaro Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Bencoiechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vélez Sarsfield Alicante's Alvaro Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Bencoiechea in the 23rd minute of play. Jesús Gonzáles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demesio Cabrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toribio Ponce kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Rai Rey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute of the match, Rai Rey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jesús Gonzáles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Alejandro Castaño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabildo Y La Campana's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Castaño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute Ambrosio Bencoiechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Trevor Gould made a precise shot to the right of Jesús Gonzáles. Cabildo Y La Campana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 41 played minutes Cabildo Y La Campana got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Candela. Jesús Gonzáles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rai Rey in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match, Trevor Gould got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jesús Gonzáles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejandro Castaño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rai Rey in the 51st minute of play forced Cabildo Y La Campana's goalkeeper Jesús Gonzáles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Vélez Sarsfield Alicante booed when Cabildo Y La Campana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Bencoiechea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hustaz Bargas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesús Gonzáles having to make a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Bencoiechea couldn't finish the play. But to his dismay, Trevor Gould quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. Vélez Sarsfield Alicante's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
