Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Goyo Vives started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Juan Pablo II's zone, Facundo Feria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Uria came out of the goal and Facundo Feria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Agustín Llinares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juan Pablo II's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Llinares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gianluigi Donnarumma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bela Herrero hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Goyo Vives had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Facundo Feria in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teofilo Uria saved Juan Pablo II from getting behind. 19 minutes into the game, one of Juan Pablo II:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Juan Pablo II defense, Cipriano Ganix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teofilo Uria. The Juan Pablo II fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teofilo Uria should have stopped the shot. Cipriano Ganix took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teofilo Uria. Teofilo Uria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Juan Pablo II's Benja Olmedo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When PERSPOLIS's Facundo Feria in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Juan Pablo II's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goyo Vives in the 34th minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Cesario Bajo got a free kick in the 36th minute. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Cipriano Ganix put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Teofilo Uria. Juan Pablo II's Teofilo Uria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Ganix in the 42nd minute of play. The corner led to PERSPOLIS's Facundo Feria getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Teofilo Uria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Feria in the 44th minute of play. Cipriano Ganix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Uria having to interfere. The Juan Pablo II players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PERSPOLIS were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Facundo Feria made the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Ganix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Teofilo Uria made a huge save. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Juan Pablo II's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Myles Powderham was slow to take the kick. During this time PERSPOLIS's players had a chance to rest. When PERSPOLIS's Cipriano Ganix in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Juan Pablo II's goalie prevented a goal. PERSPOLIS were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Juan Pablo II's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Myles Powderham took the corner. Teofilo Uria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Ganix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Cipriano Ganix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teofilo Uria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bela Herrero in the 79th minute of play. After 81 minutes, Facundo Feria made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Juan Pablo II's Teofilo Uria tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, PERSPOLIS's Facundo Feria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teofilo Uria. Teofilo Uria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. In the 87th minute Facundo Feria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Uria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bela Herrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Facundo Feria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PERSPOLIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Facundo Feria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Pablo II's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Cipriano Ganix scored to the left of an out of position Teofilo Uria, making the score, 0-8. PERSPOLIS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
