If Baldemar Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnoldo Dean during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnoldo Dean hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Lope Mangas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xesc Figueroa in the 32nd minute of the match. Baldemar Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Bellido having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xesc Figueroa was the one to do the kick off. Xesc Figueroa took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lope Mangas. Lope Mangas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 94th minute Feliz Gomar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lope Mangas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldemar Escobar struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. David Bellido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESPEIN 2011. ESPEIN 2011's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
