The audience thought a goal was coming when Jokin Bernal got free with Rune Snäll in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erik Thorstvedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apoena Ocaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jokin Bernal came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Barrikako Herensugeak F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jokin Bernal couldn't finish the play. Brent Weeks's late challenge caught a Rayo Tharkad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brent Weeks helped the player get up and apologised. Brent Weeks hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michel Hervé stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rayo Tharkad's Juan Bermejo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 51st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Erik Thorstvedt but with some difficulty. 58 minutes into the game, Rayo Tharkad's Humberto Leon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erik Thorstvedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Rayo Tharkad's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
