After having played for 3 minutes, Celso Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC CHIVA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Rivas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tavio Rienda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Andrés Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xurxo Canal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC CHIVA's Ascencio Cifuentes suffered a sore thigh after 15 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 15 minutes into the game, Nacho Marrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VALPICA C.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC CHIVA the free kick. FC CHIVA's Uhin Navarro was substituted for Ascencio Cifuentes. Nacho Marrero kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Xurxo Canal scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pelayo Montero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celso Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pelayo Montero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Rivas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute Celso Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelayo Montero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Celso Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the FC CHIVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Rivas couldn't finish the play. With 47 minutes on the clock, Dan Engström commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC CHIVA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Andrés Torres went to the wrong direction when Maximiliano Camara was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Pelayo Montero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Rivas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute FC CHIVA were awarded a corner. Eneko Sobrado went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Eneko Sobrado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pelayo Montero quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Uhin Navarro hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Maximiliano Camara sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC CHIVA's Andrés Torres didn't even have to move. After 70 minutes, Uhin Navarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC CHIVA and the VALPICA C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC CHIVA getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Uhin Navarro hit a great ball. Nacho Marrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pelayo Montero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Rivas, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Andrés Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Marrero in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xurxo Canal in the 79th minute of play forced VALPICA C.F.'s goalkeeper Pelayo Montero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Argider Ruiz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Andrés Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tavio Rienda, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 92nd minute Tavio Rienda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, FC CHIVA's Celso Rivas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pelayo Montero. Pelayo Montero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3.
