Los Cangrejos's Lucero Olano got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santi Ponce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Medardo Valines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Puyol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Jauregui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Nàstic FC's zone, Medardo Valines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santi Ponce came out of the goal and Medardo Valines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucero Olano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 25 minutes, Pelayo March mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nàstic FC and the Los Cangrejos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Los Cangrejos's Felipe Puyol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrin Sanz in the 35th minute of play. Santi Ponce came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Cangrejos's Medardo Valines. But to his dismay, Medardo Valines quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrin Sanz in the 40th minute of play forced Los Cangrejos's goalkeeper Felipe Puyol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Serafin Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Jauregui to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Medardo Valines managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Cangrejos's supporters rose to their feet, but Medardo Valines was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santi Ponce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Loren Vazquez charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loren Vazquez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Los Cangrejos booed when Nàstic FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loren Vazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
