The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Cristian Reyes suffered a concussion in the 2nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 2 minutes, Amado Esteban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coslada Juniors and the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO booed when Coslada Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Esteban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Alacuart took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Irinel Vărzaru. Irinel Vărzaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 6th minute Julio Alacuart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Vărzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Greger Rosén in the 8th minute. Greger Rosén made a great header on ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's corner, it was just that Coslada Juniors's Irinel Vărzaru managed to reach the ball for a save. Irinel Vărzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Alacuart in the 9th minute of play. Irinel Vărzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Alacuart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute of the match ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a corner. Coslada Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's corner Julio Alacuart fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Irinel Vărzaru quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Alacuart struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Irinel Vărzaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO. Irinel Vărzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Alacuart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakes Vila in the 22nd minute of play forced Coslada Juniors's goalkeeper Irinel Vărzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Julio Alacuart managed to get in a good position for a shot. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Alacuart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irinel Vărzaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irinel Vărzaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Alacuart in the 26th minute of the match. Adrian Smith hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Greger Rosén shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Irinel Vărzaru came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO reached it. In the 32ndth minute of the game Julio Alacuart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coslada Juniors's Irinel Vărzaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, Edorta Lama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 39 minutes, Jakes Vila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakes Vila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute Jakes Vila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Vărzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Alacuart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Jakes Vila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irinel Vărzaru was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Jakes Vila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laerte Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Irinel Vărzaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xu Feng Liang hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Guido Escobar was substituted for Jakes Vila. After a rather tough play, Coslada Juniors's Xu Feng Liang got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Rey Northe managed to get in a good position for a shot. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's supporters rose to their feet, but Rey Northe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irinel Vărzaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rey Northe came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rey Northe couldn't finish the play. Irinel Vărzaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rey Northe in the 74th minute. Guido Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Irinel Vărzaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. A hard shot 77 in the game by Guido Escobar from a close distance when the talented Irinel Vărzaru managed to make a qualified save. Coslada Juniors's players were relieved. In the 88th minute of the match, Rey Northe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Irinel Vărzaru was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Irinel Vărzaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Escobar's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 91st play minutes Rey Northe shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Irinel Vărzaru and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 95thth minute of the game Rey Northe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coslada Juniors's Irinel Vărzaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 95 played minutes Coslada Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Amado Esteban. The Coslada Juniors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
