If Gonzo Sobrado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ilixo Urquijo took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atilio Bouzas. Atilio Bouzas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sa Savina's Atilio Bouzas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Palomares in the 24th minute of play. Quinito Maestro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Pascal Cainzos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Gaizka Alavedra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonzo Sobrado struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Atilio Bouzas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL COMANDANTE. In the 37th minute Ilixo Urquijo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilio Bouzas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quinito Maestro kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Gonzo Sobrado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilio Bouzas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascal Cainzos was the one to do the kick off. Gaizka Alavedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Cainzos in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Llanos Molina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaizka Alavedra. EL COMANDANTE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Llanos Molina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Gaizka Alavedra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Llanos Molina went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute, Sa Savina's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Delmar Palomares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 81 minutes into the game, EL COMANDANTE's Ilixo Urquijo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atilio Bouzas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Loren Barroso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Atilio Bouzas. Sa Savina's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Sa Savina's goalkeeper Atilio Bouzas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilixo Urquijo. When Delmar Palomares came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the EL COMANDANTE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delmar Palomares couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gonzo Sobrado managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL COMANDANTE's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzo Sobrado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilio Bouzas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
