The Vilar CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herauso Crespo should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolando Maura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Totò Van Bastén struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. When Etor Cayuela fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vilar CF's protests and gave Etor Cayuela a yellow card for diving instead. After 86 played minutes Vilar CF got a freekick which was hit by Etor Cayuela. With a little luck, Real Murcia Imperial C.F.'s Aloisio Pujol got control of the ball when Rolando Maura tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vilar CF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
