Silban Mušica hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Remigio Valerón didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leandro Perpiñán went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Aurelio March took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakes Vila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Camaño to maneuver through the defense. Remigio Valerón acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Orlan Zárate. Aurelio March took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakes Vila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio March showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakes Vila in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Joel Valines hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's zone, Leandro Perpiñán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Valerón came out of the goal and Leandro Perpiñán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jakes Vila was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind O Viveiron's goalkeeper Aurelio March, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. O Viveiron's Aurelio March played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakes Vila in the 57th minute of play. Laerte Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio March having to interfere. O Viveiron's Porfirio Domingo was substituted for Pericles Urquijo. O Viveiron made a substitution. Barnaba Chowaniec replaced Ferman Casado. Jakes Vila had several of the O Viveiron's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 63 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Aurelio March as he didn't even see the shot coming. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Guido Escobar was substituted for Jakes Vila. Barnaba Chowaniec made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Silban Mušica. 76 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Porfirio Domingo came free, but Remigio Valerón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Camaño kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Julio Alacuart came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aurelio March could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Guido Escobar put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aurelio March. Guido Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Alacuart hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Sergen Vecdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Valerón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
