In the 10th minute, Roberto Hevia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joseba Arribas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnas Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ginés Casero came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Diamond Frist fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ginés Casero couldn't finish the play. Joseba Arribas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnas Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Melilleros C.F's Arnas Maldonado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joseba Arribas. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. In the 26th minute Roberto Hevia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseba Arribas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo De Paula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Diamond Frist's Joseba Arribas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Diamond Frist from getting a goal against them. Arnas Maldonado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamond Frist's Joseba Arribas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnas Maldonado in the 37th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Diamond Frist got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Mudarra. After 44 played minutes Melilleros C.F got a freekick which was hit by Tomualdo Griego. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnas Maldonado to strike the kick off in the second half. Melilleros C.F's Firman Vilanova couldn't get a good grip on the ball when Ginés Casero shot the distance nicking the right pole and went into goal in the 58th minute, 1-1. After having played for 62 minutes, Rico Soldado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melilleros C.F's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rico Soldado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joseba Arribas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo De Paula in the 65th minute of the match. Joseba Arribas came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Melilleros C.F's Rico Soldado. But to his dismay, Rico Soldado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 73rd minute, José Rosas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamond Frist's Joseba Arribas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomualdo Griego in the 76th minute of play. Eliseo De Paula struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Joseba Arribas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melilleros C.F. Guillermo Garzon kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Joseba Arribas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnas Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ginés Casero during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 played minutes Diamond Frist got a freekick which was hit by Ginés Casero. Melilleros C.F's Eliseo De Paula got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melilleros C.F walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
