Villarrubia De Los Ojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Jonsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alf Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costante Mendez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alf Jonsson went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Alf Jonsson put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Costante Mendez. After 18 minutes of play, Villarrubia De Los Ojos's Alf Jonsson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Costante Mendez was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the game, Villarrubia De Los Ojos's Rubén Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Costante Mendez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 24 played minutes Villarrubia De Los Ojos got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Landa. Derribos F.C.'s Costante Mendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Castro in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Derribos F.C.'s Lluis Pareja got a free kick in the 51st minute. Costante Mendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Jonsson in the 54th minute of play. Costante Mendez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th minute, Lluis Pareja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Villarrubia De Los Ojos's Alf Jonsson got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rubén Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costante Mendez having to make a save. In the 90th minute, Rubén Castro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Costante Mendez, passed just outside the right post. The audience was convinced that Estefan Cuadrado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delcho Katerinski was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Villarrubia De Los Ojos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
