Costante Mendez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Costante Mendez came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Madeiro's Bernardo Granati. But to his dismay, Bernardo Granati quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Víctor Rapado struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Costante Mendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madeiro. The supporters of Madeiro booed when Derribos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lluis Pareja didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodosio Eli got free with Costante Mendez in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Costante Mendez was a little too slow when Tudor Ponor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 5-0. Bernardo Granati could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Costante Mendez made a huge save. Costante Mendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Pedro Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costante Mendez made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Teodosio Eli sent off a good shot on target. The Derribos F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costante Mendez should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that José Pedro Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costante Mendez was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
