Horacio Batuecas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lluc Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. If Horacio Batuecas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almàssera's Lluc Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Almàssera from getting a goal against them. In the 40thth minute of the game Mariano Verges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lamb & Flag FC's Jairo Santander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Celedonio Quintana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jairo Santander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Celedonio Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. The Almàssera supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Almàssera would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
