The tension between the Soller and the Palenciana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Soller's Elpidio Sansone got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 29th minute Cloyo Alcaraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Gabas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Soller's goalkeeper Francesco Gabas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donatello Climent. After a rather tough play, Palenciana's Quico Torres got a free kick in the 40th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Pepe Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soller's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pepe Figueroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kalle Pihl charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kalle Pihl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Kalle Pihl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bekololari Idachaba having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Boleslaw Szarmach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bekololari Idachaba was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Bekololari Idachaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boleslaw Szarmach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bekololari Idachaba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pepe Figueroa in the 68th minute. Soller's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 91st minute of the game, when Elpidio Sansone after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Palenciana's goal. Elpidio Sansone was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After 96 played minutes Soller got a freekick which was hit by Pepe Figueroa. When the final whistle sounded Soller left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Palenciana.
