Visma Sea's supporters rose to their feet, but Dabi Echeto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisc Negru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Otero Jaen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Velez Bcn SAD's goalkeeper Francisc Negru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dabi Echeto. A collision led to Visma Sea getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Cordairo Irureta hit a great ball. If Cordairo Irureta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes of play Visma Sea's Dabi Echeto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ambrosio Dellasierra was the one to do the kick off. After 58 minutes, Manolo Mayor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velez Bcn SAD and the Visma Sea players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 59 minutes, Cordairo Irureta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Visma Sea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cordairo Irureta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
