Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Xabat Elguero took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of El Palmar booed when Marcelo´s FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolfo Abancens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Xabat Elguero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Indalecio Blazquez. Xabat Elguero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Marcelo´s FC's Munroe Brooks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bienvenido Mera in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Xabat Elguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Indalecio Blazquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asensio Reina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Indalecio Blazquez having to interfere. Indalecio Blazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xabat Elguero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Marcelo´s FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Elguero came free, but Munroe Brooks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bienvenido Mera in the 30th minute of play forced Marcelo´s FC's goalkeeper Munroe Brooks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fran Castellano charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fran Castellano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Elguero took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Munroe Brooks. Munroe Brooks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 40th minute, Pedro Elguero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cedro Echeto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Bienvenido Mera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Munroe Brooks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th match minute, Marcelo´s FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adulfo Blazquez to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bienvenido Mera made a kick off. Munroe Brooks didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bienvenido Mera went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Marcelo´s FC's Munroe Brooks got control of the ball when Bienvenido Mera tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute, Pedro Elguero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Indalecio Blazquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asensio Reina in the 60th minute of the match. Marcelo´s FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pedro Elguero 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Munroe Brooks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bienvenido Mera, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Munroe Brooks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Elguero in the 74th minute of play. Dolfo Abancens kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match Tuste De Pedro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Munroe Brooks showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Cedro Echeto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Elguero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Munroe Brooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Marcelo´s FC's goalkeeper Munroe Brooks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bienvenido Mera. A collision led to El Palmar getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Isaio Morera hit a great ball. Marcelo´s FC's Xabat Elguero collided with an opponent after 93 minutes. He was hit so badly that he fractured his arm. Celestino Alarcon charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestino Alarcon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcelo´s FC's Zoel Pedriza was substituted for Xabat Elguero. After a defensive mix-up in El Palmar's zone, Zoel Pedriza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Indalecio Blazquez came out of the goal and Zoel Pedriza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Palmar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
