Frantzes Manrique charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frantzes Manrique the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cosuenda booed when Gambica Roja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frantzes Manrique didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mel Nafría in the 17th minute of play forced Gambica Roja's goalkeeper Domingo Maria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gambica Roja getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Santana Marcilla hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Cosuenda defense, Rikard Misje kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herberto Riba. The Cosuenda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herberto Riba should have stopped the shot. Roldán Iniesta kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Valentín Valdivia made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mendebal Astudillo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bieito Mandelo during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bieito Mandelo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Mel Nafría sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Rikard Misje shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herberto Riba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikard Misje struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Herberto Riba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gambica Roja. After the first half Gambica Roja were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rikard Misje to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Madjid Franc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rikard Misje fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Riba having to interfere. Herberto Riba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Misje, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jose-Enrique Reina hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gambica Roja getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Bieito Mandelo hit a great ball. Gambica Roja's Domingo Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose-Enrique Reina in the 72nd minute of play. After 78 played minutes Gambica Roja got a freekick which was hit by Roldán Iniesta. Rikard Misje could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Herberto Riba made a huge save.
