The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Germán Figueres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macabeo Sampil, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 12 minutes of play, Rayo Bengala's Julen Castellano made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Germán Figueres was left in no man's land by his defense there! Artur Boruc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manel Quintanilla in the 14th minute. Rayo Bengala's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Manel Quintanilla scored to the left of an out of position Artur Boruc, making the score, 1-3. The corner led to S.D NARCEA's Pietro Macia getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The S.D NARCEA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rayo Bengala were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
