Polo Gene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Pantoja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haimar Valdivia in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Polo Gene saved R.C Huelva from getting behind. Polo Gene stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Pantoja's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. R.C Huelva's Polo Gene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isauro Vazquez in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haimar Valdivia in the 46th minute of play forced R.C Huelva's goalkeeper Polo Gene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Román Llorca fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored R.C Huelva's protests and gave Román Llorca a yellow card for diving instead. Román Llorca kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Polo Gene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gorosti Turrilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.
