The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celino Valines showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Celino Valines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Crescencio Guijarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Pepe Noya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pepe Noya got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Celino Valines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Cristian Matxin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez-Malaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Matxin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute of the match Pankracy Sliwinski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celino Valines showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Pepe Noya sped through Velez-Malaga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelino Lawrence. In the 47th minute, Pepe Noya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
