The supporters of UE Cornella booed when A Queimada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barto Andres didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to UE Cornella getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ioseba Garzon hit a great ball. Mel Palanques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natanael Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Belarmo Barrientos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Natanael Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egoitz Olmedo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mel Palanques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natanael Delgado was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. A hard shot 22 in the game by Mel Palanques from a close distance when the talented Natanael Delgado managed to make a qualified save. A Queimada's players were relieved. Albino Bacete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th match minute, UE Cornella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belarmo Barrientos to maneuver through the defense. Nacho Babia was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes A Queimada got a freekick which was hit by Nacho Babia. After a defensive mix-up in A Queimada's zone, Belarmo Barrientos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natanael Delgado came out of the goal and Belarmo Barrientos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mel Palanques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Coello hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 37thth minute of the game Mel Palanques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A Queimada's Natanael Delgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Barto Andres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A Queimada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barto Andres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blanco Llinares hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Mel Palanques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Natanael Delgado made a huge save. In the 45th minute, Belarmo Barrientos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

2-0 became the score in the 51st minute when Mel Palanques elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Oliverios Coya made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Egoitz Olmedo sent off a good shot on target. Dante Coello hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The UE Cornella fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when UE Cornella's Mel Palanques looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristián Labarra hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's goalkeeper Oliverios Coya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egoitz Olmedo. Oliverios Coya was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Egoitz Olmedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Egoitz Olmedo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Natanael Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mel Palanques, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When the referee ended the match the UE Cornella players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
