Cloyo Dulce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertran Navas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Xines Cayuela's late challenge caught a Real Madrid C.F.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xines Cayuela helped the player get up and apologised. Cloyo Dulce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raymon Doblas in the 17th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Madrid C.F.'s Bertran Navas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cloyo Dulce. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. Cloyo Dulce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertran Navas in the 23rd minute of play. Xines Cayuela was shown his second yellow card after 24 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Sevilla getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Xines Cayuela hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Raymon Doblas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cloyo Dulce was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Bertran Navas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Joaquin Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Bertran Navas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cloyo Dulce. That made the score 3-1 in the 35 minute of play. Raymon Doblas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cloyo Dulce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertran Navas in the 45th minute of play. In the 46thth minute of the game Bertran Navas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sevilla's Cloyo Dulce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Huarte to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raymon Doblas in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cloyo Dulce saved Sevilla from getting behind. Sevilla's Cloyo Dulce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Marques in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Bertran Navas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Cloyo Dulce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Real Madrid C.F.'s Bertran Navas got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cloyo Dulce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Marques in the 60th minute of the match. Cloyo Dulce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cloyo Dulce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raymon Doblas went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Real Madrid C.F. booed when Sevilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Huarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Joaquin Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cloyo Dulce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymon Doblas in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Sevilla's goal looked a bit too open when Bertran Navas came free, but Cloyo Dulce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sevilla's Cloyo Dulce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Marques in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Real Madrid C.F. were the better team. Real Madrid C.F.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
