Francesco Lagunas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Couto in the 4th minute of the match. Goren Cuevas hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute Danilo Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Lagunas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otero Buenafuente kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Rémi Berges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francesco Lagunas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Monteagudo Del Castillo's Francesco Lagunas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Couto in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Rayo De Barcelona getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Koen Schockaert hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Monteagudo Del Castillo defense, Rémi Berges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francesco Lagunas. The Monteagudo Del Castillo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francesco Lagunas should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Rémi Berges's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francesco Lagunas was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Francesco Lagunas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rémi Berges in the 36th minute of play. Danilo Couto took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francesco Lagunas. Francesco Lagunas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Rayo De Barcelona's Baldomero Bravo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Francesco Lagunas came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayo De Barcelona's Urtun Gonzáles. But to his dismay, Urtun Gonzáles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Goren Cuevas was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Francesco Lagunas managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Rayo De Barcelona's Rémi Berges fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Rayo De Barcelona's zone, Lorenz Higuera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jusepe Cuevas came out of the goal and Lorenz Higuera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 62 minutes, Poli Prieto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monteagudo Del Castillo and the Rayo De Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Poli Prieto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the game, Rémi Berges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Francesco Lagunas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Danilo Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francesco Lagunas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After 76 minutes Monteagudo Del Castillo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Urtun Gonzáles who took care of the corner kick. Francesco Lagunas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urtun Gonzáles in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Leandro Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 minutes of play, Rayo De Barcelona's Danilo Couto made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francesco Lagunas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Francesco Lagunas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Rémi Berges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rayo De Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rémi Berges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rémi Bergess short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Francesco Lagunas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the last second Francesco Lagunas throw himself and got hold of the ball when Danilo Couto in the 90thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Rémi Berges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rémi Berges took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francesco Lagunas. Francesco Lagunas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Francesco Lagunas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Danilo Couto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 98 minute of play.
