The referee ignored UD Linares's protests and gave Oliverio Revuelta a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Txema Torres in the 22nd minute of play forced UD Linares's goalkeeper Sergi Urquijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Paulino Marin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergi Urquijo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Paulino Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergi Urquijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Turrilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, UD Linares's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Turrilla came free, but Sergi Urquijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulino Marin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergi Urquijo having to interfere. A collision led to Salelles getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Argenis Gasso hit a great ball. Truylos Bernal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Moreira in the 78th minute of play forced Salelles's goalkeeper Truylos Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergi Urquijo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Marin in the 83rd minute. Paulino Marins short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Sergi Urquijo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cedro Huguet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
