The Real Canyet FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teofilo Acarreta should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Unión Deportiva Lanzarote getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Abad Maldonado hit a great ball. In the 45th minute of the match Carmelo Velasco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Austin Sánchez skillfully saved the ball. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pablo Palomar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unión Deportiva Lanzarote protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pablo Palomar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 94 played minutes, Real Canyet FC's Carmelo Velasco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Austin Sánchez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Canyet FC reached it. Real Canyet FC's Teofilo Acarreta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Real Canyet FC from getting a goal against them.
