After having played for 9 minutes, Fryderyk Kapera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Olympians FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fryderyk Kapera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Old Olympians FC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Old Olympians FC's Fryderyk Kapera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Unión Deportiva Lanzarote's Alexis Salinas got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Senen Infante hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Alberto Campillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Pacho Quiroga in the 25th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Fryderyk Kapera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Unión Deportiva Lanzarote's zone, Fryderyk Kapera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austin Sánchez came out of the goal and Fryderyk Kapera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Senen Infante hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The supporters of Old Olympians FC booed when Unión Deportiva Lanzarote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Campillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austin Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fryderyk Kapera, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Senen Infante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the game, Fryderyk Kapera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Austin Sánchez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Old Olympians FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexis Salinas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Fryderyk Kapera made a precise shot to the right of Austin Sánchez. Unión Deportiva Lanzarote's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 56th minute, Mattæus Landsgaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Austin Sánchez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fryderyk Kapera in the 59th minute. Mattæus Landsgaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Narciso Aznar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Salinas in the 70th minute of play forced Old Olympians FC's goalkeeper Narciso Aznar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Old Olympians FC's Narciso Aznar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Salinas in the 72nd minute of play. Unión Deportiva Lanzarote were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Old Olympians FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexis Salinas took the corner. Thanks to some nice moves Fryderyk Kapera could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Austin Sánchez however easily saved by the left post. Primo Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Unión Deportiva Lanzarote got a freekick which was hit by Mattæus Landsgaard. 89 minutes into the match, Fryderyk Kapera notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Unión Deportiva Lanzarote's Austin Sánchez. Austin Sánchez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fryderyk Kapera struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Austin Sánchez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Olympians FC. Old Olympians FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
