Intxaurrondo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sociedad Deportiva Aboque the free kick. After 80 played minutes Intxaurrondo got a freekick which was hit by Gustaw Zarobski. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Ioan Zărnescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's supporters rose to their feet, but Ioan Zărnescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador España breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
