Emilio Pizziolo made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Frans Geurtsen sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th match minute, Gowland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Fresnos to maneuver through the defense. If Alfredo Fresnos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the match, Alfredo Fresnos notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Puerto de Sagunto CF's Paul Dumitru. Paul Dumitru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
