Elvio Cameno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Emilio Pizziolo made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Elvio Cameno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emilio Pizziolo. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Emilio Pizziolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boniel Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gowland's Rubio Villafane got a free kick in the 21st minute. Emilio Pizziolo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Medero Nadal sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the match, Gowland's goalkeeper Emilio Pizziolo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvio Cameno. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético de Candamil! Alfredo Fresnos might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesareo Molina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Fresnos ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Fresnos in the 39th minute of play forced Atlético de Candamil's goalkeeper Cesareo Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Atlético de Candamil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Armada to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes Atlético de Candamil got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Armada. When Piotr Charamut came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Gowland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piotr Charamut couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Gowland's attentive Pedrinho da Silva managed to snatch the ball when Rosalio Sauca made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, Gowland's Alfredo Fresnos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesareo Molina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Piotr Charamut made a great header on Gowland's corner, it was just that Atlético de Candamil's Cesareo Molina managed to reach the ball for a save. Emilio Pizziolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Dulce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Pizziolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Dulce, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cesareo Molina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Fresnos went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 74 minutes into the match, Gowland's Alfredo Fresnos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesareo Molina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gowland's Pedrinho da Silva got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético de Candamil's goalkeeper Cesareo Molina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gowland made a substitution. Jose-Manuel Alabern replaced Alfredo Fresnos. A nice corner shot did that Blanco Mera got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cesareo Molina quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jose-Manuel Alabern's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesareo Molina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jose-Manuel Alabern kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesareo Molina. That made the score 1-2 in the 85 minute of play. In the 89th minute, Jose-Manuel Alabern left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gowland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to Atlético de Candamil getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Sinforoso Arribas hit a great ball. Atlético de Candamil's Ladio Cartagena was substituted for Reimundo Viqueira. Atlético de Candamil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose-Manuel Alabern was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The Atlético de Candamil manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Gowland to win.
