The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 26th minute Miguel Rodríguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guardia's Ursino Marin got a free kick in the 27th minute. Kıvanç Yücesan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino March, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Kıvanç Yücesan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Ruiz in the 33rd minute of play. Argyris Zagorakis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sandro Pena firmly grabbed it by the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandro Pena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, Guardia's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Rodríguez came free, but Sandro Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guardia's Justino March shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kıvanç Yücesan but with some difficulty. SC Pfullendorf's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
