In the 15th minute Nereo Cacheres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Lastras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Benjamin Peio could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Mao Si however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dabi Vila in the 19th minute of play forced Atlético Maravilla's goalkeeper Zarando Lastras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dabi Vila in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zarando Lastras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Los once leones Ourense were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
