Sandro Pena came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Vetusta's Ascencio Quintas. But to his dismay, Ascencio Quintas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Justino March came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justino March was slow to take the kick. During this time Guardia's players had a chance to rest.
