The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Renato Tapia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kıvanç Yücesan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Kıvanç Yücesan was a little too slow when Renato Tapia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-0. Pepe Toxeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Rodríguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kıvanç Yücesan. That made the score 3-0 after 29 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Real Club Celta de Vigo defense, Argyris Zagorakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pepe Toxeiro. The Real Club Celta de Vigo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pepe Toxeiro should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Renato Tapia took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Kıvanç Yücesan to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argyris Zagorakis in the 42nd minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes in the game Zhao Hui Yang did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Argyris Zagorakis. In the 46th minute, Karel Van Den Abeele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Pfullendorf's goalkeeper Kıvanç Yücesan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renato Tapia was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, SC Pfullendorf's Argyris Zagorakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pepe Toxeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kıvanç Yücesan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Tapia in the 54th minute of the match. Real Club Celta de Vigo were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after SC Pfullendorf's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guillermo Marin took the corner. Real Club Celta de Vigo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when 彭森银 scored to the left of an out of position Pepe Toxeiro, making the score, 6-5. After a rather tough play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Calisto Camacho got a free kick in the 80th minute. Pepe Toxeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 彭森银's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes Real Club Celta de Vigo got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Marin. Pepe Toxeiro made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when 彭森银 sent off a good shot on target. When SC Pfullendorf's Miguel Rodríguez in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of SC Pfullendorf booed when Real Club Celta de Vigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calisto Camacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, 彭森银 notched a goal, 6-6, to the right of Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro. Pepe Toxeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
