Álvaro Perpiñán had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Uzuri Doblas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Ke Xiong Chen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Burgas from getting a goal against them. Santa Fé De Los Boliches's Feliz Abascal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Carmona in the 18th minute of play. Aleksandr Mostovoi kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Santa Fé De Los Boliches's goal looked a bit too open when Ke Xiong Chen came free, but Feliz Abascal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Fé De Los Boliches's Feliz Abascal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ke Xiong Chen in the 35th minute of play. Feliz Abascal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Sporting Burgas's corner Javier Carmona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Feliz Abascal quite easily take care of the ball. Sporting Burgas's Javier Carmona managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aleksandr Mostovoi in the 45 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ke Xiong Chen in the 47th minute of play forced Santa Fé De Los Boliches's goalkeeper Feliz Abascal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ke Xiong Chen was the one to do the kick off. If Ke Xiong Chen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Carmona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliz Abascal having to interfere. Aleksandr Mostovoi hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marko Arnautović in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Perpiñán saved Sporting Burgas from getting behind. A collision led to Santa Fé De Los Boliches getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Emenon Gomar hit a great ball. Antonio Fioriti's late challenge caught a Santa Fé De Los Boliches's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Fioriti helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Sporting Burgas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Fioriti to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Perpiñán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepe Llorente, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Sporting Burgas's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Santa Fé De Los Boliches had won, even though Sporting Burgas had held more of the ball.
