But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Zapater couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Zorongo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Paes came free, but Juan Egoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zbyszko Moczkiewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacinto Cuadrado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zbyszko Moczkiewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Válbson Paes in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Egoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 90 minutes Boca Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julio Barroso who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Zorongo FC's Gerardo Giro to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacinto Cuadrado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zorongo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
