Jorge Carmona kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tirant lo Blanch's zone, Máximo Griful stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamal Pahlevi came out of the goal and Máximo Griful tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute of the match, Belarmino Viejo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kamal Pahlevi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tirant lo Blanch's Kamal Pahlevi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Velazquez in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Club Deportivo Polonia's García Ramos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed García Ramos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Deportivo Polonia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and García Ramos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Angelino Barba had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Leonard Treppa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26th minute, Leonard Treppa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tirant lo Blanch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Carmona, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Belarmino Viejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pitin Vallejo might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Barba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pitin Vallejo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Treppa in the 40th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Angelino Barba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Leonard Treppa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Barba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Angelino Barba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Leonard Treppa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Club Deportivo Polonia's Angelino Barba. Angelino Barba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Angelino Barba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonard Treppa's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Kamal Pahlevi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurino Esperta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurino Esperta took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kamal Pahlevi. Kamal Pahlevi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Kamal Pahlevi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Velazquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tirant lo Blanch's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maurino Esperta was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportivo Polonia's players had a chance to rest. Maurino Esperta made a great header on Club Deportivo Polonia's corner, it was just that Tirant lo Blanch's Kamal Pahlevi managed to reach the ball for a save. Aquilino Velazquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kamal Pahlevi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aquilino Velazquez ran back to his position shaking his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tirant lo Blanch walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
