But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kadir Celilay couldn't finish the play. Angelino Barba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bozhil Vaptzarov in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Máximo Griful hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belarmino Viejo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Gonsalve Flores made a huge save. Gonsalve Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Velazquez in the 27th minute of play. Club Deportivo Polonia's Angelino Barba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Esken in the 28th minute of play. Maurino Esperta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gonsalve Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bozhil Vaptzarov in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Barba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bozhil Vaptzarov in the 37th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Angelino Barba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bozhil Vaptzarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Velazquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gonsalve Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelino Barba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kadir Celilay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belarmino Viejo to make the kick off. Angelino Barba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kadir Celilay in the 52nd minute. Kadir Celilay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Barba having to interfere. Belarmino Viejo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Club Deportivo Polonia got a freekick which was hit by Belarmino Viejo. Bozhil Vaptzarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U.D. Mancini's Agustín Pedrosa was substituted for Kadir Celilay. A collision led to Club Deportivo Polonia getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. James Machado hit a great ball. Agustín Pedrosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelino Barba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Agustín Pedrosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Angelino Barba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goal looked a bit too open when Bozhil Vaptzarov came free, but Angelino Barba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Barba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bozhil Vaptzarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched U.D. Mancini eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
