The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ewald Truzman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joseph Foldberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reiner Aakard, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Karim Redder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ewald Truzman's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ewald Truzman in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karim Redder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Sandstrøm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karim Redder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ewald Truzman, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When Ludwig Klitager fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aston Villa's protests and gave Ludwig Klitager a yellow card for diving instead. Karim Redder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Sandstrøm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Oldham Athletic lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
