Hasse Fanslet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hasse Fanslet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunther Sørlev got free with Kaj Rosenkranz in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boje Sengel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erhard Frigga in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Strandelhjørn SIK's Joachim Tandberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boje Sengel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kaj Rosenkranz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hasse Fanslet's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Diernæs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Tandberg came free, but Boje Sengel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hasse Fanslet to strike the kick off in the second half. After 65 minutes, Rollo Ralkov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diernæs FC and the Strandelhjørn SIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hasse Fanslet struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Kaj Rosenkranz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diernæs FC. Kaj Rosenkranz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gunther Sørlev's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Gunther Sørlev took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kaj Rosenkranz. Kaj Rosenkranz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Kennet Heltvig hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Strandelhjørn SIK's Kaj Rosenkranz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunther Sørlev in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Diernæs FC's Hasse Fanslet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kaj Rosenkranz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Hasse Fanslet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diernæs FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hasse Fanslet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaj Rosenkranz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Diernæs FC booed when Strandelhjørn SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurits Ramsvig didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Diernæs FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
